So who would be interested to see the differences ?:D I have 2 machines at the minute which are

6700k
Asus z170 pro gaming
16gb 2x8gb dominator Plats 3000mhz cl15
h110i Gt 280mm rad

6800k
Asus X99 Strix
16gb 4x4gb Dominator plats 300mhz cl15
custom cooled with 240mm rad and ek super evo

ill soon be getting to swap 1 machine with.....

8700k delidded and binned for 5ghz @1.35v
asrock Z370 extreme 4
Re uses 2x8gb kit
For testing ill use the corsair h110i gt
but will have full custom water

GPU ill be using is a Titan x Pascal that on stock cooler easliy does over 2000mhz but will be water cooled after testing for extra frames.

So what I'm doing is 3 tests on each 1920x1080 and 2560x1440 On the following game and benchmarks.

Tomb Raider
GTA V
Wildlands
Rainbow 6 Siege
Batman Arkham City
Superposition
Heaven 4.0
R15 Cinebench

Ill do a spread sheet and a graph when complete next week, just thought it would be useful to see gain or how little or big they are for people with that upgrade itch and really see is clocks vs cores in the same gen makes so much diffrence.

They don't have inbuilt benchmarks otherwise I would, do you have any thing to show that may change my mind on what to sell

you can do timed runs with various benchmark tools.its not hard to do it with pubg.as said get rid of the 6700k rig.the 6800k is basically a 8700k performance anyway.

If you have them Assassin's Creed Origins and Far Cry 5 both have built in benchmarks and it'll be interesting to see how the cpu's compare on Origins especially as it was meant to be over taxing on the cpu from what I remember.

Others with built in benchmarks:

Alien Isolation,
F1 2017 or 2016,
Deus Ex Mankind Divided &
I think Prey also has one.

Will be surprised if there will be much different in FC5. I've tested a 1070 Ti with both a 4.5 6700K and a stock 1950X and hardly any difference in it - about 3FPS if I remember correctly. Setting the 1950 to use just 8 cores I saw the same results oon both systems. Think this was at 1440P.
