Hey!
Tl;dr Do I need to put my super hub into modem mode when connecting to another router to extend the WiFi?
So, I've recently changed from Plusnet to Virgin Media and the fibre is coming in from a different spot in the flat, I've got a NETGEAR R7000 Nighthawk AC1900 in the middle of the flat (WiFi doesn't stretch from one end to the other). I'm planning to connect that to the super hub with a cat5e cable. I tried powerline but I lose about 40% of the speed for 5g and non-5g.
I've read online that people put their superhubs into modem mode. Ideally I'd like to just leave it how it currently is and have two WiFi points and also be able to use the super hub in the living room to wire up my Xbox and TV!
So is there an issue having two WiFi points with the same ssid?
Thanks!
