Well for being a good boy this year, The Boss[better half] has got me a Power Dragon Vega56 due this week.

Can't wait as this will be my first AMD GPU for gaming since 2010 where l had a sapphire toxic 6870.

Will upload a photo as proof to get on the Roll of Honour.

no not a 1070, out the box its similar to 1070Ti from my understanding give or take a few % performance.

But if Heavily overclocked and BIOS update you are approaching 2070 level performance although I am not sure if such extreme overclocks are wise for novice users and without extreme cooling.

It's a great card.

Optimising the card via Wattman is incredibly easy and in my opinion, doesn't rest constitute ''messing about' - it's a very good card, I'm really happy with mine.

It took my brothers about 30 mins to undervolt and OC their cards and are now achieving results similar to the GTX 1080.

if you are going to play BFV and think that you might be surprised.
How cards performs especially with Freesync evens out for the user playing.
People overestimate the difference in actual gameplay

But if prices stay the same then £360.

Does anyone know the resale value of the games you get in the vega 56 bundles?
I don't like any of the games and it would help towards the new monitor.

Seems to be slightly lesser model than regular 56 models, a bit like what's happening with the 2070 models????

Doesnt seem to be. It seems to be ever so slightly faster than reference and the cooler seems to be good.

Sorry meant to say compared to other OEM cards but yeah it doesn't seem to be too much different from the one review I can find of it.

Seen a reddit thread about this card having bad coil whine though :/

I love AMD and just for the fun of it am tempted to sell my 1080 Ti and monitor then get one of these and 1440p freesync. Yes, performance would be lower but I'm all for the red team and the fun of tinkering. I'd have money left over too (£680 for the Sapphire pulse and equivalent Acer 1440p/144hz freesync monitor)!
