PC wanted for Christmas pressie thread.

Good morning people.

I have been tasked with looking for a PC for my cousins lad. I managed to get out of him that he wants a PC to play Overwatch and Rainbow Six Siege (he's not the most talkative of kids).

The budge for the PC is around £500.

I used to build my own PC's many years ago and now I am well out of the loop so I am asking you guys here.

A guy local to me is selling this one for £430... will this be any good for him? This is just for the PC itself (with keyboard and mouse).

Corsair case with 2 corsair fans at the front and 1 red coolermaster led fan at the top.
Gigbyt A z87x mobo sli and X fire compatable.
Intel i5 4670k.
16gb ddr3 corsair vengeance 1600mhz .
MSI GTX 960 2gb.
64gb crucial ssd with win 10 pro.
256gb SanDisk ssd.
Antec hydro cooler with red led coolermaster fan.
620w antec semi modular psu.

2gb vram is a bit rubbish these days, rest of it looks fine though.

If you could negotiate a little on price. You could sell the 960 and use the extra budget to get a 1050ti/1060. Would be a big upgrade.

There is another one for sale near to me which has a 1060 card in it for £475.

Black friday is right around the corner and i know Gibbo has plans for some of the GPUs at least.

May be worth checking the store(s) then to see if your budget will get you more.

No harm in waiting to see what black friday offers this year but the build by orbital is rock solid, if you have to scratch the itch.

Thank you for the replies. I'll see what happens with black friday too.... not that I really wanted to go down the building one for him route, I don't think I'm confident enough to do that anymore.

A guy who I know who I've been chatting with has offered me this for £450. I'm not sure on the graphics card though?

above £530 would beat it , purely down to RX 570
also larger storage
though that does have more ram and i5 WHEN overclocked would perform a lot better at 1080p
