I want to get a small Smart TV for out in the garage, something cheap and cheerful, 24" and smaller.

I need a decent wall mount of the job, something that extends out far enough, so that I can turn the TV 90 degrees.
Can anyone recommend a proper wall mount for the job?

it's just far sturdier. but obviously the more you pull out the more cantilever forces come into play. are you attaching to beams, solid wall or plasterboard?

as for cheap and cheerful if you don't care about picture quality you can get like a 50 inch tv from the likes of asda for £300. usually polaroid or some other name which isn't well regarded within the market. or just buy second hand off gumtree.

i sold a 2 year old top of the range sony 55" for £320 on gumtree about 5 months ago. if you are looking for something small no doubt people are selling small tv's to upgrade to the bigger ones available these days.
