ok, i dont have much of a social life :(

i got the game today
i like it
looks good
not especially different from the old one, though ive only just started

what do u think?

Yeah love it. Although when vehicles come in the lot it chugs a bit even on my 6800!

I think The Sims 2 is really sensitive to how much graphics card memory you have. I too have a 6800 and it can chug a little at 1280x1024 with max details. The 9800XT has 256MB whereas my 6800 only has 128MB. Even the manual says the more graphics card memory you have the better. I'll be OK next year with a 512MB R500 or equivalent ;)

It runs fine on my fx5200 128mb :confused: No slowdown or anything.

Anyone else had sims get stuck anywhere? My couple got stuck in the love bath tub thing, couldn't get them out and then old save file corrupted so I couldn't go back to before that :(

im finding it very buggy, i cant move a bed in the house cus its says its in use even tho no one is in it :confused: . also i cant build the house more cus of this problem. it chuggs a bit too on my 6800 gt.

I think there may be a problem with 6800s and this game. Switching to the 66.31s helped considerably but I still get pauses when the vehicles come onto the lot. Maybe a future driver set may help this or maybe a patch by Maxis?

whast s worse is, the bigger the house the slowere it goes. reminds me of sims 1 on me old p2 300mhz :(

but i got a 3.4 p4 and a gt at 440/1200 :confused:
