vscode is great.

I have been freaking out at it closing quotes and brackets for me but it now feels good!

I still can't let go of vi for editing stuff though - decades of habits aren't leaving at the drop of a hat.

I find vi/vim is also handy when ssh'ing into a machine from my phone to make a quick config edit. It might be more akin to a venerable hand tool than a modern multi-function power tool, but it still deserves its place in my toolbox.

I'm assuming you all know about the vim binding plugin for VS code? Best of both worlds (Sort of)
I'm split between that and spacemacs at the moment.
