Wrong (again), there has never been a charge for rape.

Right, there's been no charge for rape because he hid in an embassy specifically to avoid being charged. The Swedish system required another step before formal charge, which he avoided by hiding in the embassy. The only actual thing he has avoided by hiding in the embassy is a fair trial for rape.

He sought asylum as he was worried Sweden would extradite to the US. The argument from people (quite possibly you too) was that Sweden don't extradite to the US. Then it was proven that Sweden does extradite to the US (in fact in nearly every case they did so)

Maybe he's dumb enough that makes sense in his addled little brain, but no-one else should give it credence. Firstly, it would have been easier to extradite him from the UK than pretty much anywhere else, if he was so scared what was he doing here? Secondly, getting extradited to Sweden actually protects him, because a secondary extradition requires agreement from both countries - in this case the UK and Sweden.

So some rules don't apply... But others do... Sounds quite arbitrary that Jack, but from someone wrong twice in one post I expect nothing less ;)

He is welcome to make an application to the UK courts under the Human Rights Act, and it is for them to decide not he Working Group. Does that difference between legally binding and not escape you?

So no charges. Just so we are clear. The system in Sweden has already been shown to have failed. There is plenty to show political meddling in the situation especially with the prosecutor. A joke.

The Swedes said he could leave... Or have you forgotten that inconvenient little nugget?

Do Sweden extradite to the US? Is there a jury ready to prosecute Assange? Answer those questions to destroy your argument.

He could but it would fail because our justice system is so broken and bent (as it probably always has been towards political opponents of the elite) but the court would be hard pressed to overturn two findings that as it appears your have conceded are BINDING something you denied and flagrantly and arrogantly got wrong.

. . .
He is targeted solely due to the fact he released information that was extremely damaging to those in power. There used to be a word for it... Journalist... But that's long since gone out of fashion and all we are left with is leftist activists.
. . .
Assange is being targeted by "leftist activists" then?
Those will be the same "leftist activists" that want to protect "those in power" in the Capitalist West will they?

I love the double think that has occurred here over the time period of his rise and fall.

Just ******* drag him out and hand him over to a CIA blacksite already, he deserves it.

Well he's a troll. Fallen on his own sword really. Don't mess with governments especially the US gov. He'll be scared for a bit but soon accept his stay in jail.

Ecuador denies the Wikileaks claim:

A senior Ecuadorian official said on Friday that no decision has been made to expel Assange from the country's London embassy despite tweets from WikiLeaks.

The official spoke on the condition of anonymity because he wasn't authorised to discuss the matter.

(Source).

Looks like this was just a hoax dreamed up by Wikileaks to get Assange another 15 minutes of attention.

It's a bit daft Ecuador hasn't been able to get him out of the Embassy and into their country. I bet you if he was in the US or Russian embassies they would have easily smuggled him out of the country.
I expect they have probably suggested that. But Assange wouldn't get this constant (but thankfully dwindling) attention he craves if he was living a life in Equador would he?
