Flashing tv, av amp or Virgin?

Hello, i have my Panosonic tv plugged into my Yamaha amp through a ARC hdmi lead. Also my Virgin tivo box is also pluged in the same way. The problem is that evertime i turn them all on, the tv flashes for about 5 mins. The usual hdmi 3, 1080i message will pop up in the top corner around 10 times, then the screen will go either to Virgin or black. All without any sound, for about 5 minutes!
So is it my tv, av amp or Yivo box at fault?

I meant to say that after the initial 10 minutes it’s fine.

I'd first be pointing the finger at your Tivo box. Unplug it from your amp then re-test.

Could be the hdmi cable? I had an issue similar and changed the cable, bingo, issue gone

I dont think its the Tivo box cos the blu ray player does it also.
Hmmm, could be the cable. I’ll change it around latet. Thanks for your replies.

But it only does it for the first 5-10 minutes.
