New apartment (we live in Asia) - a little cramped after a large house. The screen is 92 inches wide for reference. The TV is very old.

Need to do something with the pendant light that was hanging in the way of the projector.

New home cinema setup:

- Marantz SR6013 AV Receiver
- Dali Opticon LCR x 3 for fronts and centre
- Dali Oberon LCR x 2 for rear
- Dali Atmos Alteco C-1 x 2 for Atmos
- Dali E9-F Subwoofers x 2 for the waub waubs
- 92" Fixed Frame Screen from Screenlite - Fashion Black Velvet with High Grey Contrast fabric and RGB built in.

The only thing I didn't replace was the projector, but the whole setup has been upgraded ready for 4k now. When the projector dies it will be upgraded, however currently its an Optoma HD30

A poor quality video sample, sorry I am not good with videos!

The whole thing is mind blowing. Its incredible actually. The screen is one of the most noticeable upgrades. The colours and quality are just excellent, and it handles ambient light fantastically well.

I am chuffed :D (and now a bit broke, ha)

----

Whats left is finishing off the cabling and painting the conduit to finish hiding it all. Oh an eventually a new more suited TV Cabinet.

We're about to set off on the process of moving house and I keep saying "ooh look a snug" by which I mean cinema room by which I mean projector.

Thankfully miss100 is fully on board, just perhaps not quite to the extent where it could swing the house for me...

@Phate - Looks awesome! Having a fixed screen must make a huge difference! Did you have Atmos before?

Thanks Tom! Yeah the fixed screen is one of the biggest differences from my previous setup. Before it was an electric drop down screen from Sapphire. The screen was an entry level screen in terms of price. I have seen Lucid mention on this forum countless times how big a difference a good screen can make and he guided me on this purchase. Honestly whilst the screen itself was pricey, it was totally worth it. The difference it has made I simply cannot emphasise enough. It's like going from 720p to 1080p on a really stretched display. Or rather, before it was good, now it's great.

I didn't have atmos before so this is a big difference for me again. Its kind of surreal the first time you hear it, isn't it? :)

that is quality @Phate :)

Thanks SGWills :)

Finished this earlier in the year, should have taken some before pictures but it was dramatically different. Me and my brother did it, dropped the ceiling, created a wall at the back to run all the cables through. Made the bookcases and wardrobes as well as the TV stand with what we had left over. Cables all come out in a fascia plate for the ceiling and rear speakers at the bottom of the bookcase so it’s all very tidy.

Went a bit bold with the colour scheme but ultimately works well for watching films.

5.4 Atmos (not running a sub)

2x Yamaha NSIC 600 front and 2 x rear 400 for the ceiling Atmos speakers (space was very tight for rears so had no choice but to go for the smaller size)

Q Acoustics 3050 fronts
3090c centre
3010 rears
Marantz SR6012
55” E8 LG OLED (not pictured!)
Panasonic UB820 UHD player and Apple
TV 4K

@rare

Love those bookcases. Very impressive to have made them.

I assume you live in your parents converted garage?

Also what's the deal with all the Hitler books. You Nazi!

Cheers, the book cases came out well. We only used MDF.

I live with my mum, I’ve got the front of the house she has the rear...! I used a little soundproofing especially in the back wall but nothing too excessive.

And yeah, I have quite a wide collection of books on fascism and national socialism, although pretty much every book I own is a history book of some sort. I studied history for my degree, although I’ve been collecting these books since I was a teenager.
