My Son had an MSI R9380 Gaming 4GB. Worked great just under 4years of use, then it started to artifact.

Decided to pull the card and replace it with an Asus RX570 from OCUK. It was delivered on the 20th June, fitted it that afternoon everything seemed fine. Until this evening! Son comes to us saying his pc is acting weird. He has an Asus ROG Strix X370-F and a Ryzen 2600.

Black screen, board will post but then shortly after nothing! screens do not fire up.

Everything points to a failed video card, one long beep followed by 4 short beeps. The board is fine and wants to post.

Anyone had this problem? going to RMA as he is stuck now, old card will not work with the GPU 3D side, just artifacts like mad. Tia :)

Can you get into BIOS? Have you connected correctly all the power connectors directly from the PSU and not through spliters?
What is your PSU?

No we cannot see a thing regarding bios, the board is trying to start and you get single beep as normal, but then you get nothing just black screens with the beeps. The power is direct on its own dedicated vga power lead with no splitters. PSU is an EVGA Supernova 850 B2.

I googled Asus ROG Strix X370-F for BIOS beeps or LED codes and found people had same issue.

One long beep followed by 4 short beeps did not pointed to a failed video card but it pointed to a hardware component failure.

I wonder what the onboard LED report?

Check all your motherboard connectors and video card to make sure it plug in properly and try clear CMOS battery too.

If it still not work then you should test ASUS RX 570 card in other PC to see if it work properly.
