God I really did forget how unforgiving wow was at the start. Level 9 dwarf warrior and am often running away form the enemy I'm trying to kill!!!

I picked a pve server. At a time of my life were I just can't afford getting ganked over and over again and getting nothing done.

Games really have started to get watered down. I can't imagine people trying to play SWG now.

What're the average queue times for Noggenfogger?

I've moved servers 4 times since launch, wanting to just play socially and not non-stop like I used to (and having the Mrs want to play along) means queueing for hours is out of the question, but it'd be nice to have a decent guild.

Currently on skullflame, but it's almost guaranteed that it'll end up dead in a few months

Are they're any add on sites yet?
Twitch bought out curse gaming years ago.
The twitch client now offers mods for retail and was updated to also support classic.
When you altered the game using the drop down in the top right (to classic) it has a gui similar to the old curse client.

You can still of course grab stuff and install it manually, but the client supports updating, searching voting, browsing etc. I don't use it for anything else. You don't have to watch any streams or do any chatting.

Gone warrior tank on dreadmist, already had dps and a healer in our group, so thought I’d try tank out. Never played a tank before on wow so will be learning off the bat. Hoping I don’t suck too much once I get to dungeons lol
Do not make the mistake of putting loads of points into prot as your levelling. You will be at a serious disadvantage while playing sole and questing.
You can tank all the dungeons using either of the dps trees, just be in def stance using the def skills with your sword and board.
You will need to start gathering 2 sets of gear though. One for dps and one for tank.
Out in the wilds, you can then switch to dps mode and loose the shield.
Relearing talents is possible but it costs gold and the cost increases with each respec.

Having too many points in prot can also affect rage generation, making it even harder to solo play.

Unlike Firemaw, Noggen doesn't have all-day queues. Typically you can get in without any queue before 5. If you log in between 5 and half past you'll normally find 20-30 min queues and from half 5 onwards it can be 30-60 mins. So I'd advise getting home, logging in then having dinner whilst you have the small wait.

Don't listen to the Firemaw mob, if you login after 5 you're looking at 2hour+ queues.

Considering the complete tripe that those who stayed on Firemaw have been saying about the guild that moved to Noggen, yeah it's fair to call you a mob. If everybody listened to the "dOnT mOvE sErVeRs Or YoU wIlL eNd Up On A dEaD sErVeR" nonsense every single player would still be on the first two PvP servers they released in huge queues. Blizz asked players to spread out onto new servers to improve everybody's experience and we followed that request.

Noggen has a very healthy population and there is absolutely no way you can say for certain it will be dead in 6 months. For all we know Firemaw may be dead in 6 months time. You just like to claim that you're in some way superior to us "casuals" because you're willing to wait in stupidly long queues. If you eventually decide that you want to join us you're welcome to, but you'll need to stop making stupid "nOgGeN wIlL bE dEaD iN 6 mOnThS" statements.

Im a dirty casual too. I've only had a chance to play yesterday, and I know cause of my schedule and the waiting times I'll have to wait till next week to play. I'm staying on on firemaw as at the time it was the best rated English server. Might be different now with people who don't want to wait and must play the game now, but you could forever end up moving. Your server could end up with a big queue this weekend.

Wtf you talking about? Bakes isn’t even in a guild and hasn’t even settled on a server (we’re sorting this out this evening)

I’ve gotta say (this isn’t aimed at you Monkey but rather in general in this thread) that there seems to be quite a strong undercurrent of animosity between players. Why? We’ve all waited years for this, none of us can say we’re surprised by the queues, granted certain things could’ve been organised better in terms of servers and guilds but at the end of the day we all have the same end goal: to play the game and have fun.

Surely achieving that is more important than the little snipes and digs at others for trying to achieve the same?

Cmon folks, this ain’t the way it’s meant to be played!

I've rolled on Noggen, as a dirty casual I can't be bothered with the queues.

No animosity from me. I'm just glad everyone is having fun on whatever server they've rolled on.

There was an hour queue at 6pm on Noggen last night. The queues are getting lower.

I tried my hand at hamstring kiting on my warrior last night....it did not go well. The 2 hander was underpowered so I'll stick with sword/shield until I get something decent. Hoping to be ready for DM Sunday night (or maybe tonight if I'm really lucky). Can't wait.

Noggen is a great realm so far.. no MASSIVE 20k Q’s and a decent sized Ocuk guild.. Any realm could be dead in 6 months.. the game could be dead in 6 months..

I guess some people are just frustrated seeing our community spread between servers, majority playing alliance seem to be on Noggen (39 in roster), it doesn't help to say "noggen will be dead in 6 months" though, if there's still people trickling in who want to play alliance with fellow OCUK members then it makes sense to join Noggen as the majority is here, no point in trying to further fracture the community split is there ?

More likely a small realm will die, it happened in the past and no reason to believe it wont happen this time again. It takes a long time to level to 60, may as well play on a realm you know will stay well populated.
