Spirit tap is good for solo play, useless/wasted talent points for dungeons. Same with wand talents so I dont bother with those. Doing ok. :)

As above, get a wand, dont burn all your mana on just one mob, do green/yellow quests.

If you really want to solo level play shadow priest till 60. :D

As a priest to level efficiently I think you really need 5/5 wand spec and spirit tap. Even playing with other players you can try to get the last hit with your wand for the ST proc. Solo levelling I never stop to drink unless I have just dealt with more than 2 mobs. Get yourself greater magic wand that will last you until you can pick up the wand from BFD in Ashenvale at level 24ish. That wand will last you until late 30s/early 40s.

Pull should go something like shield/mind blast/dot/wand ;)

I forgot how easy it is to level a SP, I've got 5 'mains' now lol, a true alt-aholic. I started a SP last night, got to Lv15, with a wand it's zero down time, a little slower to kill but it will only get faster. It's so much fun! But I'm changing focus back to my Lv30 hunter.

You hardly die ?

I'm playing Dwarf Priest and i get battered all the time, going OOM constantly. Can u give me some tips ?

I'm level 12 at the moment, found myself in Loch Modan but the mobs are quite high level so i'm moving to another zone.

Most of my freinds have booked time off work, either last week or this week to play and are like level 40. I didn't wanna waste any annual leave, so just taking it slooooow

What Jokester said. The enchanter crafted wands are great at low level. I shield, smite, SWPain and wand to death. Rinse and repeat. When you get fear use that as get out of jail. Alternate points in Spirit tap and wand specialisation. Then two in improved SWPain and three in Shadow focus. There are guides after that, I can't remember where they go next. Don't just use the max rank of spells. Sometimes lvl 1 will do the job.

Shield plus inner fire will mitigate most damage. Wand plus talents is the key.

I'd suggest your first 5 points in Spirit tap, with a greater magic wand (you do more than enough damage), then once you're 5/5 put 2 into improved SWP (reason being is that if you pull 2, you'll want to drop SWP on both and the secondary mob will take more damage from the increased duration) and 3 into Shadow focus. Then at 20 get Mind flay, then move over to get wand talen. As at that point, wands damage starts to tail off so you'll see the most benefit then.

As for rotation, at that level, it should be MB > SW : P > PW:S > Wand, maybe throw in a Smite before MB if you fancy killing a bit quicker, with the spirit talent, you should never be OOM or even close. Always full. If you pull more than a couple, you have a full mana pool to use.

Once you have mind flay at 20, drop Smite, it's not efficient. Use mind flay to sap away running enemies. My rotation hasn't failed yet and I doubt it will anytime soon. However I know others prefer to open with SW : P simply for the extra tick or 2. But the con is the mob gets to you before you're done casting so you'll need to have put up shield first, which if you pull 2, it may drop sooner rather than later which is never a good thing.

Buffs, always use Inner Fire and PW:F, kind of a given, if playing a undead priest, Touch of Weakness is always nice to cast after looting a mob as it's low cost yet helps lower damage should your shield go.

I find I'm so mana efficient I can burn a bit extra to kill quicker. That is solo of course. If duo or grouped I mainly for and wand saving mana for healing. Sure it's different for raiding but as I won't have time to raid seriously my focus is leveling as shadow and then as much PvP as I have time for. I don't think there's much call for shadow priests anyway in the end game.

Just spent 45 minutes having an all out brawl, SS vs TM I ended making a raid group with about 10 people in just enjoying some World pvp.

Was all fun and games until the horde doubled our numbers and got a couple of level 37s involved.

I didn't even need to quest there my friends whispered me for back for flew over!
