Looking to upgrade/refresh my main system, done some inital research but really just need a sanity check.

Its starting to show its age in a few games and I worry that things like Red Dead and Cyberpunk are going to face it run home to mummy.

I only game at 1080p and have no real designs on going to 4k.

Current System
3570k @ 4.2
Gigabyte Z77 D3H Mobo
Gigabyte Aorus 1060 6gb
Superflower 650 Modular
24gb of TeamGroup DDR3
Noctua DH14 Cooler

I only plan on swapping the CPU/Mobo and RAM at this stage and this is what I am thinking with a budget of 400-450 in mind.

New Components
Ryzen 5 3600
Gigabyte Aorus B450 Pro Mobo
32gb of 3200 DDR4

As a upgrade does this makes sense and will I notice a difference? and are there any sweetspots that ive missed for Motherboard or RAM?

Ta in advance

You would need to update the bios to the latest version to enable compatibility for a 3600, im not sure if you can do this without a CPU installed.

The MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX is compatable out of the box and has been highly recommended.

Regarding RAM i think 3600 c16 is the sweetspot but i think its only a couple of percent faster than 3200 c16. Also do you need 32GB? 16GB is the standard for a gaming machine.

Spot-on processor for the budget.
Motherboard, the MSI b450 tomahawk seems to be the standard recommendation.
RAM I would also go for 32GB to be sure, but 16GB is more than adequate for now.

Cheers so far will look at options with the Tomahawk MAX, 16gb should do for now I can always add afterwards I guess :)

So I have ended up with this does this look about right?
