8700K to a 9900KS

Hey guys,

I am really contemplating a switch to the 9900KS CPU. I run a 8700K at stock the now..

Will the performance be a step up to warrent the chip price.

My usage is gaming / general PC tasks.. no productivity on it.

I went from a 8600k @5Ghz to the 9900ks, I can’t say I noticed much difference if I’m honest. It was more of a want purchase.

Have you tried overclocking? You'd get a lot of the extra performance a 9900KS would give you.

Wait for the 10 core coming in a couple months

Thanks guys, will leave atm. Might consider an OC on the chip.
