@theone8181 John Lewis have money off the wind turbine, shop around ;)

No chance on a discount on the falcon, most discounts are on sets they can’t shift easily or are being discontinued at the end of the year.

Hence things like ship in a bottle and the app controlled bat mobile are on offer. Both were very expensive for the piece count.
I reckon i've got till friday before prices change at smyths and john lewis. I'd just be gutted if i bought it then found it 50 quid cheaper somewhere else.

I'm going to buy my nephew a technic set for Christmas.
Max budget £50

Any recommendations or should I wait until Friday?

I was tempted by this for £55 at JL
42095 - Remote-Controlled Stunt Racer.

Thanks

Lastly tidied the loft a little, 'almost' agreeing with the wife that there may be too much of it now and getting a little crowded....need to fit another shelf to fix that! :p

Bugatti Chiron at £174.99 on Amazon. Plus possibly a £10 gift card if you buy through the app?

Even though I don't like the look of the Chiron i'd have that in a heartbeat if missus hadn't just become jobless. Technics GT3 is one of the most interesting lego builds i've done and this looks more of the same.

Lego 30% off the Saturn V but it’s gone.... I didn’t expect that.....

They have discounted a few new and high selling sets this year, very strange. Bit annoyed about the Empire State Building, mines still BNIB :(, it only came out in the summer. Not had a chance to build it yet due to moving house.

The exclusive mini batmobile has gone too, glad I waited up last night to order mine. The website was getting hammered, took about 40 mins to get my order in.

Good price on the Chiron, if have one but I just grabbed the batmobile!!

Yeah I checked and checked checked the gear box when doing it. You only need to align one of the internals wrong (a freely moving one no less) and while thing won't work

I missed where it flips over and assembled it so the front wheels went clockwise, and the rears went anti clockwise. I stripped it down and rebuilt it. I didn't realise how much of a pain dismantling lego technic is lol. On a side note, falcon is ordered £560 for a delivery tomorrow morning before 10.30, then i can hide it from the mrs:D.

falcon has arrived and as luck would have it, I whisked away to the garage before the Mrs could see/notice it:p. It's pretty heavy and it was a box in a box, the outer box was the size of a built in oven:eek:. On a side note, as I got the Christmas Dec's down today, I counted 7 boxes of Lego in my loft. I've got quite a few sets that according to bricklink are worth a few quid (although none are mixed). Is that the best website to sell them on?

These are the sets i've got if anyones interested, i'm sure it will bring back memories.

Has anyone tried fitting lights to the falcon? Looking on the internet there's loads of options and not sure what the quality is like (especially as some places are charging 50 quid for some leds:eek:).

Did have a quick look ages ago and thought the same.

I would like to get the engine to light up.
