Long shot, and hope right place to ask?

I am looking for help from Forum Members. Basically I am after a Steiff, Grandad Teddy Bear.

Now these where “retired “ By Steiff and you cannot but them even in “Specialist” Steiff shops. So I suppose my only option is a dedicated, collectors forum or service. This is where you come in.

The cost could run into thousands as they are extremely rare. The reason behind the request is many years ago my wife saw this bear and at the time we couldn’t afford the £250 price tag. Now things are different I would like to try to source one these. I am well aware that the cost will be high but I am willing to the price, providing we are not talking 10s of Thousands.


Here’s hoping someone can help or advise

And for the very same reason
( comments above ) I was reluctant to ask in here. Something I will bear in mind I the future. This forum has a lot of members who think that they have the moral high ground and have nothing else to do with their lives except post trivial and pointless posts.

Alas I didn’t expect anything less to be honest.

To be honest you need to blame yourself.
It's like somebody asking for a Gibson Les Paul because you can't find one so you then get dozens of links only for you to come back saying "but I want a genuine 58 Standard".
You didn't explain properly in the first post.
