In moving my system into an nice big new case I think I’ve killed my motherboard. It won’t post, tried all sorts of things that I’ve seen suggested online but no joy. Old system was i5 4670k, Z87X-UD3H motherboard. So rather than try to find an old replacement motherboard I might as well upgrade.
I need to remain on intel due to compatibility so was thinking:
I5 9600k £199
MSI Z390 A Pro £109
Corsair Vengeance 16gb DDR4 3200MHZ £79
Basically trying to balance a reasonable performance upgrade within a reasonable price. I reckon I can use the rest of the components I already have I.e. graphics card, psu, cpu cooler, hdd and case. Motherboard choice came down to what was in stock that had 6 SATA ports as I have quite a few hard drives.
Anything obvious I’m missing or suggestions would be very helpful thanks.
