After yet another outage with tso seemingly only affecting sites starting with the letter S I've decided their a bunch of muppets and to find a reliable and fast UK host

What I need

Reliable
Fast
And a host that can deal with it all and transfer everything over with no involvement needed on my part and to do it with minimal downtime

Price isn't a concern as long as its sensible and I need to shift about a dozen domains over and need maybe a gig of hosting

I used to like TSO, i've been with them over 16 years, but the last year has had a number of minor billing issues and the CS failed to deal with the same issue on 3 occasions, no significant or noticeable down time though.

*edit* And another billing cockup, this time billing me for migrated domain they acknowledge left them months ago and shows as cancelled.

Drop me a trust, I can put you in touch with a company who I now push all my clients to.

In case you're still stuck, I recommend www.hyve.com - they specialise in handling the techie/migration side and excel on customer service.

Disclaimer - I used to work with the guy who set up Hyve and he's made a success of it over the last 15 years.

Recommend StablePoint, it's run by the original guys from Vidahost and a few others before they all got snapped up - great performance, good prices and support staff top notch - 2nd recommendation would be Krystal.

If you're not after anything special in terms of space/bandwidth and just need basic cPanel stuff, i can put you on one of my reseller accounts if you want to test SP out first

99% of the time, AWS or Azure is probably the answer - or a long established company like Ionos (1&1) or Cloudflare

I'm generally of the opinion that smaller hosts are likely to be a false economy. Of course, there are some good ones out there - but the value of a good host is not having to think about it other than when you push changes

I use cheap hosts for test servers, temporary usage, and hobbyist stuff I don't really care about (if my Discord bot goes down for 2 days, I couldn't care less) - but for anything I care about, it's going somewhere established.
