Hi all, I'm thinking about upgrading my system but not sure what's best.

Do I just upgrade my current system (GPU,CPU,RAM)? or go full new build?

My current system spec is as follows,

Win 10 Pro 64Bit
CPU, Intel core I5-6600 @ 3.30 Socket 1151
GPU, Sapphire Nitro R9 380 4G
RAM, Corsair Vengence LPX x2 8G
MOBO, Maximus Hero VIII
PSU, OCZ 700w

My computer is used for gaming only, currently playing MGS5, Witcher 3, looking to get COD MW at some point.
Playing @ 1080p,was thinking about making the switch to 1440 @ 144hz?

Any advice you lot can give me will be greatly apricated,
Thanks Luke.

I would just look to upgrade to a b450, ryzen 5 3600 and some new ram this would cost about £350, then sell your old CPU + MB + ram and add what you get to the £150 left from your budget and go for a rx5700 or 5700xt.

What's the precise model designation and how old is that?
Most OCZ PSUs used cheap components not good for longevity.
And that's certainly older than that PC because of OCZ's bankruptcy in 2013.

Do you think its time I replaced it?

I am thinking I need to up my budget to £1000

That's literally Hadrian's Wall era low end design with cheap capacitors.
I think that particular model even failed in HardOCP's testing possibly because of some overspeccing.

Even though just standard level by todays standards this is about millennium newer design and has 10 year warranty.

I would be tempted to get a new GPU, maybe a RX 5700 XT (maybe PSU aswell) and then look to upgrade the Mobo, CPU and Ram later in the year and see what the AMD 4000 series brings.
