HR lols from me last night: https://www.strava.com/activities/3054732048/heartrate & https://www.strava.com/activities/3054487027/heartrate

Basically 1hr 20 mins at Z4. Hardly anything else! One way to burn calories... Made yesterday a 117 TSS day (with commuting), so no wonder I'm a little achey and feeling a bit flat today :o

EDIT: Those decathlon chain whips look ace, had meant to get one before but no near decathlon and delivery was expensive...

Robert Gesink & Tao GH go croissant hunting (again): https://www.strava.com/activities/3053891677
Love seeing rides like this from Pro's, just shows how much they still enjoy having fun riding their bikes! These two are obviously great friends as have seen several rides like this from them the last couple of winters. Usually croissant hunting lol

So it doesn't give a 'public share link'? Or it does and you have to doctor it so it doesn't download...

You are taking the public dl link and making it a share, hack to get around their nonsense blocking!

Which SKS did you go for that gave you issues? Blumels? I've had quite a bit of experience with SKS, Raceblades, Chromo's and Bluemels through the years. Really rate them for the 'budget' friendly option as they're generally better than other branded guards (experienced Giant and Treks attempts).

Bluemels, I’ve never fitted mudguards before and the instructions were useless and for the wrong mudguards seemingly  I have them on now and seem to do the job, need flaps I think to give better frame and rear rider protection!

Which WTB's are those? Tubeless? Quite tempted to get a 'gravel' set of tyres myself, as and when I sort a 'summer' bike out. But equally would need something that also rolls well on the road...

WTB Riddler light, came on the bike but seem to review well!

@Lethal` did you get a battery for yours and flex your soldering skills? :D
Hah. Nope not yet. Though it seems to still be working at least and has had a bit of battering of rear wheel spray.

If you're buying tools to swap a cassette, then I'd recommend a Decathlon fixed chain whip over a traditional chain whip (which I've broken - raaar!)

https://www.decathlon.co.uk/chain-whip-cassette-remover-id_8309913.html

Even a video on that page to show how easy it is.

+1!

This tool is really useful and so much better than a regular chain whip.

I think they can deliver to Asda on the cheap or free: https://www.decathlon.co.uk/asda-collection.html

Ok so they're not available online. Annoying.

This tool is probably one of the best things I've ever bought! Infinitely better than a chain whip!
So now I'm even more annoyed as think I'm missing out! I'm a sucker for a good tool... Lol

Yeah their instructions are pretty 'generic'. But then many sets of mudguards are - they come with the same fittings, just different guards & decals! Riddlers are good.

As long as they don't make too much noise and you're getting 'less wet' then you have them fitted pretty darn well! ;)

Flaps are good though. I never realised mine where quite so bad until I was towing a trailer behind and could see 'the stripe' :D

Ahh, could be just the seal & tightness of the lens before caused the ingress, so now you've refitted the seal it's actually sealed better...

Yeah but the item specifically says 'not available online'... 3 of my nearest 4 Decathons have '1 unit' in stock each. Very sceptical. Especially when the nearest is 53 miles away in Telford lol

If anyone is desperate I could do a Decathlon run at some point and put them in the post! Got one semi local to me.
Put me down for one, but only if others want them or you're going there anyway, no need for a special visit!

Pedro's do something called a vise whip which is different in operation but appears to be better than a regular chain whip. Looks like Park have a new one too: https://www.parktool.com/product/cassette-pliers-cp-1-2?category=Cassette & Freewheel

Here's another one: https://www.merlincycles.com/unior-freewheel-remover-113892.html
The Park one looks really no different than using a usual chain whip, the pedros is probably better as clamps onto the cassette. But they maybe only a second or two quicker than a chain whip, just maybe better to use 1 handed or with filthy cassettes you're not going to bother cleaning... Maybe more workshop tools where you'll be doing them multiple times a day?!

The Merlin one seems like a complete rip/money maker of the Decathlon, but only for 11 & 12 speeds... The Decathlon does 4 different speeds for less money...

I do a *lot* of cassette swaps and I've never felt underequipped with the cheapest chain whip from CRC.
Haha yeah, although I did bend my cheap one (jobsworth) taking off a Freewheel so replaced it with the Park one. The Park SR1 is so totally over engineered I'll never bend it. Quality tool, which is why I'm not that stressed about replacing it lol ;)

EDIT: Radon bikes doing a 'Brexit Sale' lol. Some ok prices on there and a brand you don't see many road bikes from.

EDIT2: Ever get the feeling PX are running out of names... :D

Yep. Just presenting different options that are available from non-Decathlon. I agree the Decathlon seems the best. Though I'm not sure who did it first. I wouldn't be surprised if Decathlon copied it :p

Hahaha! Wow! Impressive amount of force!

Suddenly the time I had a hybrid on a turbo trainer with a pedal spanner stamping on the left until the spanner bent doesn't sound too bad. Never did get that one undone EVER again (event the correct way lol)
