AMD could jump on the Second Wave Children's Crusade bandwagon and give Miss Thunberg a call, with everyone else using children to shame people into an extremist religion, again, AMD too could profit off it massively.

Sorry....

No i'm really not.

Just came from B&H in NYC while on vacay and saw no Ryzen laptops on display. Asked a CS why - he said no one wants them. They do have some on stock but all down in the storage.

This means that the mind set of people hasn't changed yet and the desktop sales are driven mostly by the enthusiasts.
Average Joe plays either on their smartphone or on a notebook.

I have been saying this for a while now - AMD needs a performance revolution to change the mind set of the masses.

I think that store is seriously missing out. Cos i also went to a Micro Center in New Jersey, they have 2 or 3 in display and a Lenovo with 3500u and Vega8 for 500$ had a number of customers interested in the 1/2 hr i was in the area.

Where are you buying them? I've been meaning to purchase some!

I buy through interactive investor.

Make sure you buy within a stocks and shares ISA wrapper where possible - it shields you from tax on any gains you might make.

edit - sorry just saw you are based in Portugal, so disregard the ISA stuff!

NMWare cashing in on high core count CPU's.

They changed the model from charging per CPU to limiting that to 32 cores and needing another licence for CPU above 32 cores, so for a 64 core EPYC you would now need two licences.

Basically AMD are charging for a 64 core what Intel are charging for a 28 core to gain market share and VMWare have decided they would cash in on that difference.
This IS a problem for AMD because the value in going for the 64 core over the 28 core is swallowed up by NMWares profiteering.
