Hi folks, with the current lockdown I've decided to upgrade my old system for mainly browsing and casual gaming.

Current system:

MSI ATI Radeon HD 6950 OC Twin FrozR III Power Edition 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics
Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - OEM
Asus P8Z68-V PRO Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard
Corsair XMS3 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMX8GX3M2A1600C9)
Antec High Current Gamer 620W Power Supply
Akasa AK-CCX-4002HP Venom CPU Cooler (Socket
Silverstone Fortress FT01B-W Tower Case with Window - Black
Crucial RealSSD M4 128GB 2.5" SATA 6Gbs Solid State Hard Drive

I've already ordered a 2060 Super, but have decided to look at some further upgrades, without spending too much.

So far I picked out the following:

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £409.97 (includes shipping: £0.00)

Please let me know if there is anything I should change or anything I've missed. I'm out of touch with hardware, so trying to get up to speed.

Cheers

That Asus B450 motherboard isn't the best, I'd go for something like the MSI B450 Tomahawk Max instead. Also, I know you've already ordered the 2060 Super but if it's possible to cancel that I think you'd be better off with the 5700 XT, depending on which 2060 Super you went for you wouldn't be spending much more than £10 extra on the 5700 XT and it outperforms the 2060 Super in pretty much every title.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £694.07 (includes shipping: £11.10)

Nothing wrong with the rest of the parts you selected, that's the SSD I'd go for given your budget and the RAM is fine. You may want to consider a new PSU as well, I'm guessing it's about 7-8 years old by now? I wouldn't feel that comfortable hooking up a bunch of new hardware to a PSU that old.

Thanks, I was put off the 5700XT by driver issues I kept reading, I could easily return the 2060 Super and order a 5700XT if they shouldn't be a concern?

The below basket is over £100 cheaper at a competitor!

Total: £1,029.63 (includes shipping: £11.70)

I think the general consensus is that AMD have ironed out a lot of their driver issues now, the latest driver release is solid. That Powercolor isn't a bad little GPU, it will run slightly hotter than the Gigabyte card I linked but it won't be a significant difference. Hardware Unboxed on Youtube praised it in their roundup of the more affordable 5700 XT cards. As EsaT says, the Arctic Freezer 34 would be more than good enough for a 3600, but yeah the rest of the basket is fine, I can't see any other changes I'd make.

Thanks guys, reason I picked out the PowerColor is because it is £350 on a competitor site, which seems ridiculously cheap for a decent enough brand.

Using competitors for some of the gear means I can get that basket for ‭£895.92 all in‬, seems like a lot of bang for buck.
