It varies a bit by manufacturer how much it under reports. Then your tyres can have an impact. But it would have been no more than 95 I would have thought on the speedo. Still hard to argue that's not noticeable

In most modern cars, while they’ll do 90+ fairly easily the engine would likely be pushing 4K+ RPM u less it’s something exotic or majorly high performance. I find myself doing 60 or thereabouts just to keep the engine noise down. If you were doing an indicated 87 then you were certainly doing over 80.

Yeah but there is a I sneezed/was not paying attention and pressed the pedel and was 5mph (which should not see you in trouble anyway) over and then there is my foot likes to act like a brick and I was doing 20mph over.

It wouldn't unless the car was from the 1970s.

My car is 2006 and at an indicated 100mph, GPS show 96.
