the front panel being blocked cant be a good thing as its just vents at the side by looks of it.

Why are case manufacturers in recent years so obsessed with killing airflow? Another £150+ case with poor/average thermals.
Agree and the silencing thing is a bit of meme as you need to crank the fans up to over come the restriction. Or just have a mesh case with lower rpm fans

Don't forget, these are sound dampened cases, primarily designed for workstation/office builds that require a large amount of drive support (the XL for instance can support up 18 HDD/SSD's)

By all means, the Meshify C would still be the better choice for a gaming rig due to the increased airflow.

Fractal Design define series have always had that front panel from 1st gen to now, i'm still using my Define R4 and I don't really have any issues with airflow or temps at all.

I bought this case, 360mm rad at the front as intake, 240mm on top. I just open the door for gaming and it cools fine (sub 40 degrees for 2080ti at 380W on a cool day with a bit of fan noise, around 43 with the fans inaudible). Case is behind the TV though.

It's a really well made case. I love how the panels snap on and off, it looks clean and nice with the dark tint side, but I am hoping they release a mesh front for it at some stage. I've also ordered a Demcifilter magnetic screen for the front to replace the plastic slats which are still quite restrictive.

You got it fully custom watercooled?

I got the white Fractal 7, still waiting for a few things before building in it but I had a gander around at it and it's absolute quality, love how everything snaps in and out of place.

Yeah I love that, too. Everything feels such good quality (one exception being the plastic behind the front door).

Not custom watercooled. I'd like to one day but am fairly new to all of this. I've just got a 360mm AIO drawing air in from the front for the 2080 ti (using Kraken G12) and a 240mm AIO for the CPU set up as exhaust. I'm going to replace the top aio with an Arctic Freezer 360 later this week as I'm changing to a 10900k, after a delidding disaster on my 6700k. It should be fine having both front and top, I believe.

My only issue in building it is that the radiator end for the front means it doesn't sit quite low enough to screw against the chassis all the way down. Just the top two (of 12) can't be screwed properly, but it's secure enough.

I might do the full coverage waterblock when I get a 3000 series GPU.

I went for black with a dark tint. Was tempted by white though which could look really if done well, I think. Hope you enjoy it!
