What to use; sealing inside upvc window trim to wood sill

Hi. As title reall . Just decorated the living room and put new upvc window trim on the lounge room window.

Before I start glossing. There is a small gap between the bottom of the trim and the wooden window sill.

Do I use white silicone sealant, caulk or something else. As will probably be glossed white when finished.

Just want it to look nice

Don't use sealant what ever you do, I made that mistake and now resorted to having to clean it with baby wipes which are amazing for lifting the dirt off sealant btw

Maybe an interior frame sealer, they sell it in Wilko's or caulk of its being painted, the way I think of it now is if it's pvc to pvc use sealant, if its pvc to surface that's being painted use caulk but next time I do it all again I'll probably try the frame sealer hopefully dust doesn't stick to it as much and I'll apply it after painting next time
