Hi there,
I need 3 120mm and 3 140mm fans for my watercooled build. I currently have 1 corsair ml 120s as exhaust and 2 on the top radiator and 3 140s on the front radiator.
when the cpu is under load it is just too loud. I hover at 67-70.c gaming at this volume any less rpm and it gets to 80+.

Im really looking for similar performance but as quiet as can be, any suggestions?
Money is not a factor as can sell the old fans to offset.

Thank you

So these would be good for radiator and case

And these for the front radiator.

Thanks very much guys. I wish the first ones weren't that horrible colour lol

Any other suggestions or brand?
I should have read more closely. I think you need to look at static pressure fans for all the radiator fans. If I recall correctly, most of the comparison reviews use this use-case as their test so you should have an easier job of it than I did (for my mainly air-cooled system).

The ones you suggested at they suitable for case and radiator. And there is 1500 and 1200 variants. I can't choose between those and have no idea when it comes to quiet fans that a strong. I've always gone for silly rgb corsairs

As I say, for radiators I'd look at static pressure fans - Random Matt's suggestion is a good one - Noctua NF-A12x25.

Noctua or Noiseblocker both seem to do consistently well in comparative tests - look for good, quiet, high static pressure performance.

Random matts suggested fans say they are case fans only. I will investigate further or take more suggestions

I recently upgraded to noctua chromax fans, and can highly recommend them. They push loads of air, are great for temps, and the noise profile on them is lovely even at high rpm. Having previous had ML fans, noctua are night and day different

The B12-P is literally the same as all the top players, buy which ever ones you want. You can even turn the RPM down for desired noise, for me it is these or Noctua. They even do 140mm if you wanted them.

My setup is two B12-P on my rad @ 1850RPM and two at the bottom @ 1500RPM.

Edit: Forgot about Varder, may be a little noisy.

Thank you for that, I cant turn them down they will be for use at high rpm but need to be quieter than my corsairs.

3 ml 140s are currently intake on the front radiator, 2 120s exhaust but through the top radiator and 1 120 ml rear of case exhaust.

Hi sorry to hijack the thread, I want the quietest fans possible for a 360 rad, i currently have 6 vardar fans but willing to go down to three i value silence + low temps which are the best bang for buck

Why not just start your own thread? That way you don't hijack.

How noisy is your system playing an intensive game or app?
Out of 10?

That is subjective. All I can say is they are 28 decibels at full whack, that's not particularly loud. As I run the top a little lower, maybe they are 25 decibels, the bottom two are well under.

It's the sound of air hitting and going through a radiator that is always louder, I would just buy one fan and see what it sounds like first. I prefer the sound of my current ones over the Noctua, had three of the latter on a 360, yeah it was quite loud to be honest.

That doesn't really make sense. We have to compromise on performance if we want a quite setup, and sure, the higher priced fans give us better options. I cannot really think of anything outside of Noctua or what I have purchased recently. Just have to research some fans, varder are some of the best for rads, but not particulary geared towards people sensitive to sound.

How are you coming up with thiw 28dB and 25dB? I ask because if your fans are really making less than 30 dB of noise the probability is you couldn't even hear them over ambient noise level of your room .. because a quiet room has about 30dB ambient noise level.

Reading specs and guesstimate, I don't have a reader. I sit right next to my rig, only thing in the room.

Makes sense. Sadly spec rating is dB measured 1 meter from fan in open area with nothing around it and is at least 3-5dB quieter than when mounted in a case or on a cooler. Add noise of airflow through grill and filter and noise level is even higher. Most common sound meters measure volume from 30 dB to 130dB, so can't even register a lower volume sound, which is fine because it's quite hard finding anywhere that is quieter. Price of meters that registers 26 dB and lower noise levels get quite expensive (£200-1000). There are free apps for some cell phones. Maybe there is one for yours.
