Nice video, thanks for uploading.

Guessing you can't go online with these mods, is it easy (or not) to disable them if I ever decide to venture online?

No you can't go online with them, Openiv works in such a way that when you go online it doesn't load anything from the mod folder. Although in saying that I did get a week ban, not sure if that was from Openiv not loading the proper vanilla unmodded game or whether it was taking millions from hackers. You can always have two installs for safety, that's what other do. Load from steam when you want to go online, launch from Openiv to play single player.

And thanks. It doesn't take long, if anyone gets stuck I can always help out. But honestly, it's very straight forward.

Folks, I re-installed this having recently grabbed it on Epic. I have zero interest in the cack that is loading screen simulator aka Online...

I'd like to play SP mode. The last time I attempted to use a popular trainer to spawn in vehicles etc, it made one particular mission broken somehow - where you first pick up Tanya just outside Franklins house. She just wouldn't get in the car. Do trainers still cause issues in SP?

No drama, if you get stuck this guide helped me sort it - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=boGe5Ysaz2w
Yep worked nicely, cheers. I loaded up an old save from 2016 and set the town alight within the first 10minutes so the trainer works well enough. I'll retry story mode from scratch once I work out what mods to use and if I still need OpenV or whatever it was that managed mods.

Great to see that Natural Vision mod progressing along so nicely!

I've got the Redux mod running nicely but would love to give the Natural Vision Evolved one a go - looks like you have to contribute to the developer though and I don't know if I'll use it that much!

Am I missing something on GTA V

The single player game is great, but I can't see the appeal of GTA Online. I've only played it for maybe an hour tops and nearly all of that has been stuck either on loading screens or lobby screens.

It also seems totally lacking in any sort of direction. I've got the criminal enterprise pack which I seem to be able to access. The thing is nearly everything is locked off "until person X calls" with no direction of how I get them to call. Where do I need to go, what do I need to do. The whole thing just seems aimless. I've got a map with lots of icons on it but no idea why I should try one thing over another.

GTA online really requires friends to enjoy it IMO. GTA has been around for years, they've added a ton of content which understandably will be confusing for new players. I'd suggest looking for newbie guides to GTA online via YouTube. With friends, online is a lot of fun - the Heists are the most fun for me, although I haven't played the new Casino one yet!

There's also an OcUK crew you can join, it's a little bit inactive I believe, but you can join more than one.

Rockstar are practically famous for having absolutely crap UI's and sod all explanations of how ingame systems work well. Hell even their controls have been a mess for years.

my game hasnt been saving for the last few hours so i've had to keep it open in the background whilst afk'ing on the nightclub security cameras,
no point grinding if it wont save what i've already done,
so thought id google to see if they are having issues and came across this..

Black Lives Matter. To honor the legacy of George Floyd, today, 6/4/20, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. ET, we will be shutting down access to our online games, Grand Theft Auto Online and Red Dead Online.

so it should be saving ok from 9pm our time

I was wondering why my game wouldn't save, although I'm still getting the unable to save message atm.

i just had another run around on there, still getting the wont save msg, also transactions are failing like trying to stock up on snacks at my CEO office :/
i've gone back to afk'ing the security cameras and left the game running in the background... will check back later

im a bit concerned that it might not save at all as it was ment to be back online 82 minutes ago!

I just sold some bunker supplies and it triggered a save for me. I was forced to restart after since I was getting a transaction error shortly after.

If you ever get the "unable to save" error, alt tab out of the game and right click on GTA in the task bar and click close. You'll notice it won't immedately end the process. Alt tab back in the game and you'll see a prompt appear asking if you want to leave GTA online. At this prompt hit esc to cancel and it should then trigger a save. Works every time for me.

On another note, how many here are still actively playing GTA Online ? I'm currently playing it solo. I did all the heists on Xbox right up the Grand Pacific. I've recently moved to PC and wouldn't mind getting a regular group together to go through all the heists including the newer ones like the Casino heist. Hit me up on social club if you fancy it. Name on social club is Fr0dderz

Thing is with GTA online, it's a massive sandbox. It's completely different to the story based single player that has a set laid out campain. There are various forks in the paths you can choose, but ultimately it's very much on rails. GTA online is a completely different game.

When it first launched all those years ago, the game was solely about running missions for named contacts, or doing races. Now, the focus of the game has shifted towards the criminal enterprise. Hence why they're giving out the criminal enterprise starter pack for free all over the place. The game talks you through using your phone to find the places where you can buy real estate, and you can pickup the ones in the starter pack for free. Set the businesses up, and start making money. Once you've got that going this is where the real depth comes in. Do you upgrade your existing business to produce your counterfit cash quicker, or do you expand into the coke business. Or How about the nightclub business .. or gun running , or car stealing ,or running goods for import and export. Then you can start looking at how you make running those businesses easier, do you want the Master Command Terminal in an arcade where you can look at all your enterprises in one place ? do you want a mobile operations center ? etc.. the list goes on.
