Ripped out the old rotting greenhouse bench and built new ones today. Still need to install lower shelves but started to run out of light.

The uppers are 'modular' in that they can be removed. Means can grow some taller climbers from bottom up with a section removed. Also plan to make a potting grid with removable tray / bin below to catch soil which can drop in.

Totally over built, could have got away with 2x2s but 2x4s were not too much more money and are proper solid.

Also installed the auto window opener.

Is it weird i want to see a video of a chicken using its new toy? :o

Not sure how long it will take one / any of them to master it, I didn't even know it was a "thing" until I saw a nasty looking plastic one for sale for £20 and thought I could make a better one than that ....

They are extremely inquisitive and like any kind of enrichment in their environment so hopefully it will keep them entertained even if they don't manage to get a synchronised routine down :D

I strongly suggest you demonstrate it to them and film it.

That would certainly have been a good solution but I don't trust my 'mounting' skills as there's a lot of very heavy equipment in there including a massive Meridian 557 amp.

Is that an Ikea cabinet? They have brackets purpose made for wall mounting this. It'd certainly be easier to clean the dust off. :)

Sin chase.
Thank you- thank you- thank you -

We have had a greenhouse for 40 yrs and it never struck us to remove top layer of slates to put plants on bottom shelf - So now the wife has her tomato plants on the staging and nice clear floor.

So I started and finished part 2 of the garden project (its taken 2 years to get around to!)

Part 1 was putting the main wall in to create a decent patio area

Part 2 is creating a flat area for the kids to play on and put things like a paddling pool etc

Collected some railway sleepers

Some digging to get the correct depth

Some sleepers fitted (this is circa 300mm difference in level to get them where I wanted)

Leveled and final product (just waiting to give it a first cut now)

Looks like the spacers are all in the same way though and I can't see any joins out of place. Optical illusion maybe due to the darker shades on the tiles. Prob look great when it's grouted :D

fun thing.. usually the guides AREN'T same size , front on to side on, let alone what you have done.. :( why didn't you watch some vids.. tiling is easy, just tedious
Looks like a fine job, they are all in the same way  Tiles always look odd before grout.

HIDEOUS tiles though :p haha. /runs.

lol I just looked at this again.. it's flooring!!! Sorry bud, weird camera angle and the design creates an optical illusion! Looking closer, it should be fine as long as you used a level. I looked at this type of design for my hallway last year.. it is expensive, but in the end decided it was too busy. Good luck though bud post the finished article.
Spacers are all the same way, trust me it messes with your eyes even more when doing it :D

Haha, the give away when it comes to orientation is the levitating box of spacers on the wall if it were that way :D

Over the last couple of days I've been slowly putting together a plan and bill of materials for the new pond.. don't let anyone tell you ponds are cheap.. especially over 10,000 litres.
