So I just got a hold of my first MBP in 6 years. Just took delivery of a MPB 16" and coming from a 2014 MBP there is a noticeable difference all round, I love it.

I am loving the new keyboard and glad I missed the unreliable butter switch keyboards. What I am noticing is the huge trackpad, I feel there is a 2 stage manual click on it. So I have set it up for 'tap to click' like I always would but when clicking down on the trackpad to move a file for example I can feel if I hold down longer there is a second stage of clicking.

I cannot figure out what the second click stage if for, can anyone help me out?

Also any god tips and tricks or hacks for the touchpad having never used it?

Cheers!

Thanks Feek for the heads up, some nice new features. Now to find out how to get the best from the Touch Bar, any tips on that one?

When you tap an icon on the Touch Bar (such as brightness or volume) you can slide your finger left and right without lifting it off the icon you’ve just tapped. You don’t actually need to use the slider that comes up.
