First ever PC build, boots up but no display to monitor

Hello, my build is Ryzen 3600, xfx 5700 XT, 16gb (2x8gb) 3600 DDR4 Ram, B450m-plus gaming motherboard. Everything is powering up fine but there's no display at all to the monitor, I tried resetting the CMOS by removing the motherboard battery which had no affect so I'm completely unsure what to try next. Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you in advance

Do you know if that board has the correct bios to boot from the box with Ryzen 3000 series CPU's?

Thanks for the speedy response, but yes it came with a Ryzen 3000 sticker and supposedly supports the 3600 out of the box

Hmmm, I'm not 100% which boards work out the box, I only knew the MSI Max boards do... Have you got your display cable plugged into the GPU?

Kept trying both GPU and motherboard and neither seemed to display anything

As silly as it sounds but have you checked the monitor is displaying the correct output?(i.e if you have displayport connected and make sure the monitor is enabled to that port for signal)

Yeah used hdmi 1, also tried another device on the monitor to make sure the monitor it's self was working fine

Did the box your motherboard came in have a ryzen 3000 ready sticker as if it didn't then there's a good chance it will need a bios update for compatibility.

Yeah came with the ryzen 3000 sticker on the box

Yeah, put them in the A2 and B2 slots I believe they're called, the ones which give optimal speeds

Try removing and replacing the gpu and make sure the CPU cooler is fastened down enough.

Remove graphics card and try using just the onboard graphics.

Have you checked all of your cables are plugged in properly, both the 24-pin motherboard cable and the 8-pin CPU power at the top of the mobo?

Thanks for the help guys, not sure what was going on but tried taking out all connections and putting them back in and is not working fine
