The argument is that if civilians were allowed to carry "guns" in Britain then the knife attacker wouldn't have been so successful. That's ignoring the fact that if that was the case then the attacker would likely up his game and use a "gun" instead of a knife of course, let along the chaos that would ensue if the Police turned up to a scene where loads of civvies had weapons drawn and we're taking pot shots at each other. It would be a nightmare.

This. its a bizarre argument . If the perpetrator had a gun , its likely that far more people would have died (if the intent was just to go on a rampage).

The good guy with a gun thing sort of assumes everyone is walking around, gun out , walking down the street on high alert and ready to shoot anyone who starts shooting.

Unless you happen to be fortunate enough to have a navy seal off active duty nearby, who can pull his gun out and take out a shooter with his first shot, you are likely **** out of luck either way.

It is people who are armchair warriors in their spare time thinking that real life is similar and bullets won't hurt them.

Where are we in this discussion?

normally they go...

1.Attack!
2.Terrorist
3.Let’s wait for the evidence before realising it probably is terrorism you racist
4.Ban immigration
5.its all the west’s fault really because we live in the worst conditions on earth
6.Religion of peace
7.lack of opportunities for minorities
8.police should have arrested them sooner. Public enquiry sack all police

Probably many more steps usually. All rubbish. Common sense probably says it’s some bell end “terrorist” mentally unhinged that has some sort of allegiance elsewhere

same old rubbish.

I sort of thought it was on topic given the residents?

Oh well, apologies. Still going to wait until the investigation is complete before I discuss this further though.

If only RL gunfights were as easy to assess as a 4v4 CS:GO round where everyone has a uniform to indicate which side they're on. :)

Why is the mainstream media now reporting 0 deaths, apart from the ‘attacker’?!

I’ve been following this story all afternoon on multiple main stream sites. Was ‘3’ dead, ‘6’ injured being reported for 4 hours. Something very, very fishy occurring here.
