Stunning. I have just purchased the black version. I went for an AIO but I think I will revert back to a custom loop again.
If you don't mind me asking, how much did the loop cost? (See if I can convince the misses)

Thanks matey, I reckon around £800 for the waterblocks and everything you see listed NOT including the case. The problem was, I had to buy adjusters so, will be amending the above list so that people can buy the minimum, as I've got a load of stuff left over that I thought I'df need and didn't... so, yeah circa £800 quid mate just to get it water cooled. Soon adds up, but thats £100 quid for the GPU waterblock and £100 quid for the water resevoir... so £200 just for those. Suppose depends how far you want to go mate, if you need any hel;p give me a shout. BTW, I'll be putting in an additional 360mm on the rear to bring the temps down a little more.

My 2nd ever water-cooled PC build...and my first ever go at Hard-line tubing...which at first I found difficult, but after buying the right tools became fairly simple. Primo chill finish tool being the most useful tool ever for this!

Spec -Lian Li - OD11 XL Dynamic - i9-10900k, 32GB Corsair 3200Mhz Vengeance Pro RAM - 1TB m.2 Samsung Pro - 2 x 500GB Samsung Pro SSD - Nvidia GTX 980ti (placeholder for when the 3080ti or 3090 comes out).

Had a little revamp on my rig - got a vertical gfx card mount and redone the tubing and installed some cablemod pro cables for my corsair psu. I'm thinking of ditching the distro board though, as I have fell in love with the new D5 front panel distro block from EK. The Byksi one I have now is a pain to get the cpu tubing lined up
when using an AMD 3700x. Specs as follows -

  • Asrock Taichi x570
  • Ryzen 3700x
  • 32gb Corsair vengeance ddr4 3200
  • GTX 1080 Seahawk ek
  • 1 x Sabrent 1tb nvme
  • 1 x Sabrent 512gb nvme
  • Crucial 500gb ssd
  • Crucial 1tb ssd
  • 2 x 4tb western digital blue in RAID 1
  • Lian Li 0ll dynamic XL
  • Byksi compression fittings
  • 7 x Noctua redux 1700 rpm fans
  • 1 x Bykski TN Slimline Triple 360mm rad
  • 1 x Byksi 38mm triple 360mm rad
  • 1 x Byksi distro plate

This is what it looked like before - I'm going to sell the LL120's as I've had my fill with RGB for now.

That's beautiful. I'm 36 now, I used to read computer mags since I was a schoolboy. I would always dream of building a watercooled gaming rig like this, but never had the time or money to do one. Sadly I don't play video games any more so I don't think that dream will ever be realised now.

Thanks mate - tbh I rarely play games much either, I've just got the bug for building my rig, which I use for editing.

Excuse the awful photos - finished about 2am this morning.
Project "Let's see exactly how much stuff we can squeeze into a tiny space, before it bursts at the seams because you're too tight and stubborn to buy a bigger case" is 85% complete.

Just waiting on a GPU backplate & custom 24pin & 2× 8pin GPU cables (I have Carbon/Black extenders, but I couldn't fit the back panel on).
Case is a five year old Jonsbo W2, which was bought because it fits perfectly inside the IKEA Besta media units in our lounge. I'll change it for something larger and more suited to a full custom loop when we move. Actually very impressed by the Jonsbo W2 - I've squeezed a 240 & 280 rads inside, plus a Barrow SPG40A-X & 90ml Res.

3700X, 32Gb Ballistix 3600mhz, B550-M, 2080Ti, WD Black NVME, Team SSD, Seagate Barracuda 4Tb storage.

Need to get rid of that kink on the bottom, probably a 90 degree off the gpu should work

There's no kink - just an awkward angle and some air in the tube (I'd just got it home from my mate who drilled the holes for the res - I have a spinal cord injury, so lifting the case requires a bit of help)

Slightly better angle with the cable extensions in the way:

Ah ok that’s good, coolant looks cool!

I should really add mine in here - it's an O11 Dynamic with whatever parts I could find last month - which means it's a reservoir with a D5 Next pump as that was what was available and I can hear DCC pumps....

It's soft tubing as the original plan to locate the computer meant mounting a distribution plate on the front wasn't a sensible idea (it's since been moved to the other side of the office on a bookcase

The fans are ThermalTake Pure 12 which have a habit of turning blue rather than white so are usually left in Rainbow mode (see photo 1).

The GPU is the reason why it's water based - a watercooled 2080ti for £750 was too good to turn down - it's black so there is zero need to vertically mount the GPU, that can wait until the next set of upgrades.
