Authenticator App of choice?

Is there a favourite Authenticator app out there people are using?
Obviously big names like Google, Microsoft etc.
I've got a couple of things I'm using SMS authentication on that I'd like to move to an app and things I should have 2fa switched on for that I currently don't.

Authy because I like it better. 1 account all authentications and can have multiple devices doing the authentication.

Authy or Google are probably the ones to go for. I'm using andOTP now but only because I had problems with the backup/restore of authy.

Authy.
Had to change phone a few times and i dont want to go through the hassle of setting things up with others compared to Authy.

1Password - the 2FA integration is pretty great and it autofills the code in websites and apps. It’s also cross platform.

+1 to Authy, makes moving to a new phone much easier, Google you have to manually deregister each one then register again on a new phone.

I use the Microsoft one. It has cloud backup.

MS Authenticator, Duo Mobile and Authy. I ditched Google as you cant back it up so rubbish if you change your mobile.

Thought the Google one got a revamp and transferring was now possible?

I stopped using it beginning of the year so may have changed. I've moved all my accounts over now.

Yep google now allows transferring. Basically just export it as a QR and then on your new phone scan in the qr.

You still have the manual steps to do this for each whereas with MS it's all automatic and secured with the MS account. The MS app is the best 2FA app really.

Just had a look as I've never transferred before. It's not quite individual, but mine did generate 2 qr codes for maybe 15 accounts.

Same. I was shocked when I found out Google had no backup/cloud store. Was a huge hassle going through websites again, some easy navigating, others a joke.

I use the Microsoft authenticator, started using it for work but it's yet to fail adding any other site I've tried to add to it.

Authy on the whole but I seem to have to use the MS one for MS stuff, unsure if I can swap those to authy.

I am right in thinking that apps like Authy, Google, Microsoft (and others) all use the same standard?
So where a site or service advertises the fact you can setup a "Google Authenticator" you can in fact use any that conforms to the same standard?

Bit like shops that used to display "Apple Pay" stickers, but we all knew if they accepted Apple Pay then Android Pay was going to work.
