I also read somewhere, that Raja was leaving in Sept.

Nope, not now. There was talk of him leaving amid the power struggle Murthy was engaging at the top, but since Murthy has now been given the boot, it looks like Raja is sticking around.

Which isn't actually too bad, surprisingly. Intel's GPU "tile" concept for MCM is apparently an absolute scaling monster, almost linear scaling. The problem is their interconnect is beyond woeful and sees an almost exponential power draw as you add tiles. Apparently they had an 8-tile design operating in the lab at one point that utterly crushed the 2080 Ti in traditional raster operations, but it was drawing well over 500W to do so.

So despite Raja coming in and making DG1 an utter clusterfk with unnecessary features, the project as a whole isn't going to **** entirely under his leadership.
