Noticed that Micron do higher density chips now so we are seeing DDR4 32GB (2x16GB) RAM packs that are single sided and single ranked. It's now the 64GB packs that are dual ranked.

I can't find ANY information on these new chips or results from overclocking and timings! Are they even classed as e-die anymore as they are double the density on each chip and built on a smaller process.

They all seem to talking about the single sided 16GB (2x8GB) kits or double sided 32GB (2x16GB) popular e-die kits from last year. I think these are now end of life?

Might explain why the prices are coming down on 32GB kits as they use less chips. Anyone had any experience with these newer chips? Being single ranked, you'd need to overclock the 32GB packs higher now to equal the performance of the older dual ranked 32GB e-die kits.

I'd imagine Samsung and Hynix will be doing the same?
