Poll: What is your upper limit for your next GPU purchase

I thought it might be interesting to do a poll as most of the threads have talk of price & value for money; maybe we could keep the conversation in one place that disregards Nvidia/AMD/Console choice and focus purely on budget?

I paid around £750 for my GTX1080 I believe, I wouldn't want to pay much more than that to replace it to be honest. Prices are getting crazy lately. I really hope AMD have something good with big navi at a good price but I'm not getting my hopes up.

That sounds a bit high, I paid that for my 1080ti.

I have a similar threshold, although I'm thinking if I paid £750 a couple of years ago then a little more would be an acceptable upper limit if the performance did merit it.

£1,000 is my personal threshold, although I'd be more inclined to shoot for between £500 - £750 if again performance was there.

Absolute max1500 for the top dog 3090 2k is just much as whats touted and I would want a serious uplift at 4k for that money but either way I will buy a 3000 card as I want hdmi 2.1

But gaming isn't my 'main' hobby, if it was then easily £800.

I paid £350 for my 1070 brand new granted discounted due to where I worked then, however it's also max I'd ever spend on a GPU

I paid £450 on my Vega64 (on release) and £509 on my Fury X (also on release) both from OCUK so it's easy to look back

In both cases it wasn't the fastest card, but it provided the best performance without value falling off a cliff... Unfortunately I don't see us getting another generation of high performance at the <£500 level.. nVidia have jacked the price model up so much that you're lucky to get mid-entry level at that.. I guess I'm gonna have to look around the £1000 mark on my next purchase in Sept/Oct.

I would seriously balk at spending more than £500 on a GPU. I don't think I've ever spent more than £250, so even this would be an effort.

However I want to play FS2020 at 4K60 ultra, so what can I do.
