It's probably down to the weaker memory controller on the 1600AF assuming you tested just the 2 new sticks on their own just to make sure they aren't defective? pretty sure if you dropped in a ryzen 5 3600 then it would run 3200 without issue.

You could try upping the SOC voltage a bit and see if that helps.

The 1600 AF no issue in regards to the memory controller. Mine can run memory up to 3800Mhz.

You probably got lucky and have a golden sample if yours will do that speed especially since even most ryzen 3000 chips can't do that.

Also is that with 4 dimms?

Overide gives you full control over the voltage so if you set 1.2v the that's what you get whereas offset +/- will just add or subtract to what the board sets. So if the board sets 1.3 and you use a -0.05 offset then you get 1.25.

Are u sure that the memory controller on the 1600AF is weak cant support more then 2933? i was thinking requesting refund , but if i upgrade later to like ryzen 5 3600 it will run 32gig 4dimms 3200 witout issue?

It's the 4-stick thing, I'm afraid.

My 2700X runs fast timings at 3200 with two sticks, no chance of anything over 2933 with four.
No amount of messing about with SoC or settings will do it.
The odd chip (as mentioned above) will do it, but the majority will not.

well that is not good news, if it is not running the rated speed it will be useless i think,

I've never had an issue running 4 x 8GB sticks on multiple Ryzen and Threadripper systems, but I always made sure the RAM used Samsung B-Die chips, otherwise I had issues with the Corsair Hynix memory.

Is there no chance of swapping your 4x8 kit for 2x16 kit?

well before i had 2x8gb, and when i saw memory got cheaper, i thought just get onother 2x8gb more , i got it yesterday , it is new ,
i'm thinking returning and request refund :(
