APCs can be used on fabrics just fine, you just need to be careful about leaving residue behind as they can be tricky to fully remove if you oversaturate the area. This will eventually lead to tide marks.

This is why I recommended an upholstery cleaner, less risk. You can get enzyme based upholstery cleaners like Autosmart BioBrisk, best of both worlds.

Thanks.

then don't bother with wax..

https://www.samsdetailing.co.uk/product/ceramic-boost/

literally as you wash, spray each panel, rinse, spray another.. rinse.. etc

last 2-3 months easy and bottle is enough for 2-3x so basically 9-12 months from that.

don't over apply in my experience, avoid windscreen(9/10 times it'll be fine but better than save than sorry) and rinse off properly.. then dry it.

Example of protection from a single application.

It's been a long time since I looked at the car paintwork finishing arena and looks like we have moved on considerably from carnuba waxes and other coatings. Looks like I will never have to use an applicator sponge and normal waxes ever again.

I've just ordered this:

As per steps in comments:
Start with a clean vehicle
Mist on (only use small amounts)
Wipe down with a small microfiber cloth that is damp
Rinse right away.
Mist again, then hit with the pressure washer to spread out
Dry the vehicle & enjoy an awesome wet look when it's totally dry!

Along with a waterproofing cream (previously only used spray) for my roof: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product...title_huc_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A19NRCJWHMUTVF

I think together the roof and paint will look immense, well more immense than before :p

Is the quick detailer another product? As the one above is a direct wax/post-wash paint protection replacement so the idea is to bin the old Carnauba/polymer based waxes of old and use this as it also lasts many months and only needs a spray mist then rinse after the first use of it to keep the particles adhered to the lacquer top coat.

Its a quick detailer, so can be used as a drying aid or finish off after a wash. If you’re using the hybrid wax every wash then it’s probably superfluous, but then unless you’re only washing every 6 weeks or something I don’t think you need to use the hybrid wax every time.

With a vehicle that’s ceramic coated then the hybrid wax isn’t really needed but the quick detailer can be used at the end of a wash to “top it up” a little.

Couple of new bits to try out

I was left a little underwhelmed by Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic Wax. It does give a nice glossy look but the longevity was not great for me. I found Sonax Brilliant shine Detailer to give better beading/protection and longevity for under half the price if you shop around. I now mix it 50/50 with water and use BSD as a drying aid on the Mrs car.

That is an EZ Detail Brush. It’s the smaller version as the small Wheel Wollies are a bit too firm but it’s very much a similar price to Wheel Woolies, £17 I think this one was.

You're not the only one... I'm sure the neighbours curtains must have been twitching as I've just been out cleaning and dressing a new set of Tyres I've had fitted today :D

I'm now contemplating dodging the rain showers and popping out for a full clean (just a final rinse off with the DI Vessel though)

Nice, yeah looks like ceramic is the way to go as it will last longer so will save me time in the long run.
Thanks.

Can someone recommend me some budget dashboard cleaner for a matt finish.
I got some Autoglym stuff from years ago but its oil based and causes a right mess if it gets where it shouldn't.

Thanks.
