The V64 and VII have been solid for me too to be honest. No driver issues with any of them bar the weird FF black screen issue I got a number of years ago, Not sure if that was on the 290x or 64 though.

Vega 64 or buy the 1080 a year before it, I know which one I'd have chosen back then.

Having owned an R9 290 myself I feel that video completely justifies my experience. Wasn't even a reference model and it still ran hot.
