I used to absolutely despise gold/bronze wheels, I would immediately think "Ricer" on sight. I have always typically gone for gun metal / satin grey / anthracite which look fab.

I have seen the below picture of some alloys I am looking at, and I actually like it. My car is a very similar colour to below, I feel like the bronze / green almost actually works. I was originally going to go gun metal, but now im not so sure?

Thoughts?

Edit: The same wheel in grey / black for comparison

The tone does need to match the paintwork or it won't look right. It can't just be any ol' gold.

It's not like silver which is quite generic.

Many years ago I saw an old red Jag, like the Inspector Morse type, bright red with gold spoke wheels, that really looked good, so I would say it depends on the car.

I am in the camp of, it depends on the car colour. Slight bias as I had my RX8 wheels powder coated like this....

Actually really hard to get a good photo of as it depends on the light.
