I did over 1000 in BF4 and PUBG. Man up and stay up later!
I am still clocking up those hours in V every week so plenty of time to hit 1000 hours

I'm a single player campaign gamer, I rarely play Multiplayer now.
But...you already have a 2080Ti.
Why do you want to spend £500 for a GPU 'on par' with what you have?
How!? You've averaged over 8 hours per day, every day this year, on one game alone.I'm at 2,000 hours plus on Escape From Tarkov since Jan 2nd this year lol.
I appriciate people like the latest tech, but what are most of you rich folk using your planned 3090 for?
I'm not using it to call people out, genuinely curious what you run / play to demand such PWR
You forget who is releasing these cards .
Expensive cooler, expensive memory, expensive 7nm large die. MOAR Raytracing. I’d be very surprised if they lower prices by that much especially with no competition.
Even 2070S WITH competition was £499. Original 2070 was £599 (apparently).
I await the prices, I bet I will be a lot closer than you will£1000 is burning a hole in my pocket and I hope I can buy something better than a 3070 with it
He had booked the day off originally until the time got closer and the rumours of the silly prices came about which made him realise he will need to do overtime again to build up that pot so he is not left behind on old tech while everyone is enjoying the shiny new 3000 seriesHaha
'tis why I didn't buy one. And £/perf will be my measure for this series too. Quite happy with a £1400 card if it delivers £1400 of performance.2080TI really did suck v 1080TI for price performance ratio at 70% price increase.
If you can wait till AMD make their move and depending on price the 3070 could be a great upgrade from a 1070So based on what we know is going from a 1070 to a 3070 going to be worth my money ?

Won't somebody think of the poor shareholders, tho. They need leather jackets too!Not for me to buy, for me to hate Nvidia slightly less.
Nvidia time to give something back to your loyal consumers kinda thing.
The guy must have enough leather jackets and sports cars by now.
Can't wait to find out the 3090 is £799.

Not a criticism of you (hate the game, not the player, etc) but this is why nV have to maintain 60%+ profit margins. Shareholders, yo.Made £1,500 profit from nvidia shares last month so they will be buying the card for me. Luck more than judgement, just figured they have no competition and increased use of GPUs in servers and autonomous vehicles.
It's Expensive and 3090 obviously poor value for money when compared to performance of the lower tier cards. However, they have shareholders to answer to (not me anymore) they will deliver the price to maximise profit. Ultimately, us thinking it's expensive or not worth it doesn't matter.
I skipped the 2080 ti and am on a 200 hz 1440p monitor so really looking forward to it.
