I don't mean to sound arrogant or anything but the 3080 is only £150 quid(ish) more than the 3070... I can imagine the 3080 selling really well and the 3070 not so much, I mean if you've got £500 to spend on a gfx card you may as well spend another £150 :D
thats how I seen it, Im only upgrading because I want to get into 4k gaming and use stuff like ray tracing and dlss. my 1070 non ti is still going strong, I ain't one for upgrading all the time any more too.

Those CUDA count numbers are insanely high - will be some beast if it is true. The 2080ti page shows NVIDIA CUDA Cores count as 4352: https://www.nvidia.com/en-gb/geforce/graphics-cards/rtx-2080-ti/

The 3080 seems strangely good value, even over the 3070! Extra £180 and it's 2944vs4352 cuda cores so a good amount extra!
Yeah, very clever pricing by Nvidia, I may just go for that to be honest. At least I can have a bit of early fun on the 17th when they come out if I go in that direction.

So do we think that the 3080 with DLSS and RT will be able to maintain 4k60 in triple A's for the next few years?

Shopping list is growing, lg65cx now either a 3080 or 6900xt....

your turn AMD....

That’s what i was thinking to be fair well something along those lines. Will be watching reviews very closely before making a decision.

TBF,as long as performance goes up,that is all that really matters. I remember the HD4870 did the same approach. They rejigged the shader units,so that there was 800 instead of 320(with the HD3870),on the same node, with only a smallish increase in die area.
