Pretty sure the gap at 4K was more than 20% TBF. You might be right, but I’ll be disappointed if you are.

Financially better off, but disappointed.

20% would have been fine if the 3090 had 16gb or 20gb and was priced at £899 though.

I would have happily ponied up the extra for that.

Now paying exactly double for 20% leaves me cold. Even if it clocks higher and the difference is 30% I am not sure I would spend it. I can afford it but it just doesn't make any sense yet.

Would rather buy a £649 3080 and then next year stump up for a 4090 if the extra performance/memory is needed.

Would 40% sway you? Just curious.

I do fully expect RDNA2 to feature more vram. But then again if the over all power of the cards are not able to match the 3080 let alone the 3090 then what is the point?

In fact RDNA2 is rumoured I read to feature a 16GB card.

Rumours are that if its 80cu that its going to 50% faster than a 2080ti which will put it matching a 3080. Will all depend on price. There are rumours now the AMD price will be $649.

If its £649 for 16Gb card matching 3080 performance then they will sell.

Honestly guys can't help but feel the lacking monitor tech is a bit of a drawback for a lot looking at the 3090.
I mean I wish we even had one 32" monitor capable of 144mhz 4k at a reasonable priced.

Faced with the option of a 27" way overpriced 144hz 4k from the likes of asus or predator.
Or an obscenely oversized 43" from asus.

I just don't know why asus haven't released a 32 yet!

Plus the complete lack of (good) HDR bums me out a little. You've got 1440p/4k at good refresh rates now just add some good HDR please! It's the only thing I'd want from a new monitor going forwards.
