I’m looking for some black pebbles to go in a glass container. I’ve had a look online and cant find much.

If anyone lives near a beach i’m happy to pay postage & cost of collecting some. Black rocks will also do but ideally pebbles as its for decorative purposes

Given that taking them from the beach is illegal (Costal Protection Act 1949), I doubt anyone is going to take you up on that offer!
Really, you can’t take rocks/pebbles/sand off the beach? :D Will they run out or something?

edit - If it’s illegal, how does anyone / company have beach pebbles since 1949. Unless they are man made of course

Theft?

It’s a bit like speeding, it’s fine until you get caught.

Everybody speeds and it doesn't really hurt anyone

If everybody took pebbles though, there'd be no pebbles left which would lead to further erosion of our coastlines and loss of ecosystems, it's taken quite seriously - https://metro.co.uk/2018/08/22/man-...-beach-miles-away-to-avoid-1000-fine-7870931/

Even taking rocks/pebbles from rivers or mountains is technically illegal as they are the property of the land owner but it's not as terrible a thing to do and most landowners probably don't care if some rocks get taken

I’ve had a look online and cant find much.

You either didn't look very hard or you're incredibly fussy for the black pebble you're looking for - https://smile.amazon.co.uk/s?k=black+pebbles&ref=nb_sb_noss_1
