Gaming pc help!

New to the forum so hello to everyone.

My son says he wants a pc for Christmas so have been trying to look at what would suit him.

He plays fornite a lot with his friends but complains its lagging on ps4 so looking for a pc that would run fortnite well.

What's the budget?

You might be better off buying a PS5/Xbox, it'll likely end up cheaper

Just a suggestion if the lad is already comfortable on consoles lol

Lagging can be due to the connection speed and latency, changing to a pc seems an expensive way to find out .

PS5 mite be better.

I would try running a wired connection to the PS first (assuming you're currently wireless).

As others have said it's more likely any delays are due to issues with your connection rather than the hardware.

Having said that PC will give you higher fps and is a better way to play in my view but a lot more expensive.
