What they got complexity wrong in this game is the gun specialisations.

It's just such a crappy implementation of gun customisation and perks.

The best perks system I have ever played was in COD MW the original one.

That had it spot on.

What gets me is the skin sets, you have to go through hoops to do the assignments just to get a skin set abit like The Division. Also the fact that people can call in a V1 in any map, a bombardment is more appropriate to every map. I thought that Dice were trying to get things more realistic however they seem to have lost their way.

What gets me is the skin sets. The fact that people give a toss :p

Haven't played this for over 18 months, but when I did. i just used the default skin for everything.

ah it’s a bit of fun changing your skin up. I haven’t bought any mind you. What’s gets to me is there are so many, literally hundreds, and that time could have been used to make more/better maps...

Nah, done with BF. Sadly. sticking to my guns (pun intended) this time. Battlefield is done, another EA absorbed company down the drain.

Sadly this is what I'm thinking - the games are more and more garbage, developers seem to care less and less, I see very little real interaction with the community and EA tries to erase anything that doesn't fit with what they want to see, etc. there is a huge lacking of self-awareness as to what is wrong and what they need to fix as seems to have happened in a lot of software companies of late who just plough on with their vision of how things are and what people want regardless of any feedback or input.

I'm glad I missed out on everything after 3 and 4. BF3 will always go down in my memory as one of the greatest fun times. I had so many great laughs playing it. Even playing it seriously there were matches it was hard to kill from the laughter that happened during that time.

Had a game this afternoon where a player was obviously cheating 52/0 so the other team refused to spawn.

Cheats everywhere, the official forums delete or lock threads talking about it using the "use the report function" spiel like that does anything. Total farce.

It's so obvious that the games aren't monitored as the cheats can carry on to get to a high level. There are some players that get high scores simply because they have the best systems and internet so therefore are just that little bit faster but at times it's hard to distinguish.

2142 is still my favourite. Even if they just updated it with better graphics I’d be all over it.
I don't think it would survive as a standalone game. BC2 with the vietnam expansion worked well.
I don't understand why they can't do a modern base game and then some historical or future expansions to suit.
