The 2080ti selling price still looks to be around £550
Based on previous experience, once the dumb money realises the 3070 is out i would be shocked if the price does'nt drop further.
The dumb money has not realised the 3070 is imminent.

I still think the 2080ti will beat a 3070 and has 3gb more VRAM so is a better 4K card and from what I've seen if you pump 320w in it just about matches a 3080 so can't see it dropping under £500 myself once the benchmarks are out and people realise the new cards don't live up to the hype.Only if they drop down to £250-300 i can see them bouncing back but not by much
Problem there is if a stock 3070 does match a stock 2080ti you maybe able to also overclock the 3070 to whatever the 2080ti can overclock tooI still think the 2080ti will beat a 3070 and has 3gb more VRAM so is a better 4K card and from what I've seen if you pump 320w in it just about matches a 3080 so can't see it dropping under £500 myself once the benchmarks are out and people realise the new cards don't live up to the hype.
I’d say soDo you believe there is any chance the 3080 will not be faster by at least 10% compared to the 2080TI?
I’d say so
I think it will be around 20-30% faster than a bog standard 2080ti, now whether or not these cards will have much overclocking headroom when they are already pulling 320w stock is another thing so that gap could shrink further.Do you believe there is any chance the 3080 will not be faster by at least 10% compared to the 2080TI?
That depends somewhat if nvidia's claims about 30 series performance hold up next week, IMHO. Don't get me wrong, I hope they do, but there could be a price bounce on the 2080Ti if the reviews don't quite match the hype.
When they are already priced £650-750 and £450-500 respectively? If a 3080 is more like £800 and a 3070 more like £600, then the current average of £500-£550 for a 2080Ti in your case right now seems about right.
That nationwide electronic entertainment exchange place had a 2070ti, no box, for £440 in store earlier. They must have mental customers

I said 2080 Ti3080 for £1000??? I doubt it.
Think this is a difference in exchange rates.I wish you well actually getting one at those prices. OCUK prices are going up by £30-£50 a day at present and stock will be very, very limited.
Nvidia MSRP for 2080Ti was originally $999? 2 years ago. Retail prices are still £1100+ today
