So, fibre cable laid to door, what happens next?

Looking at my curent bill, I'm theoretically paying £59.75 a month for FTTC - "Fibre 2".

I say theoretically, because it's discounted to £27.33 in practice.

But that suggests that there might not be such as big a step up in price as I was assuming.

Just check Vodafone's site every week or so, I've found the notification thing that's meant to email you when it becomes available doesn't even work... Didn't for me anyway.
And any hope in asking Vodafone's support reps for estimation is completely pointless... Hard to get an answer in first place, and when you do it's completely wrong.

It never became available for me, but some of my neighbours could order. I had to contact Openreach support. Think it was a data entry error - took three months of me pestering them and now I have 500 down, 70 up :)

That's not relevant to the OP's situation, they're talking about CityFibre which doesn't use the Openreach infrastructure.
