It's not 100% confirmed but I believe that all cards that don't have *AVAILABLE TO PRE-ORDER SEPTEMBER 17th* in their description will be available on the 17th. :)

I think all the initial cards that got put up all have that. They may have just forgot to add it too the rest the got put up on the site after.
I know for the card I am looking at there is already stock and they are hoping for some extra batches in before Thursday.
This card has the preorder description.

Zotac 5yr warranty adds resale value and has insurance. If you keep a card for 3yr and one day and then it breaks what will you do? It happened to me i waited out the 2080, And the Super and then it happened. It could happen to you if Nvidia stagnate in future.

And you also encourage E-waste and encorage them to sell stuff that seems to not last otherwise why the short warranty? The EU are planning new laws where goods must be able to be repaired and they must last a long time.

Anything under 6yrs no repair or warranty is a scam, The EU agree and in future it will not exists becaude they are serious about electronic waste and cheap electronics failing and filling up landfills. So to me its a no brainer respect yourself and your hard earned cash and shun 2-3yr warrantys.

Didn't realise Zotac warranty transferable?

I've thought about ewaste no one mentions why planned obsolescence is still allowed with impending climate crisis. Sounds like an actual good law the EU are putting in.

Forgot about Brexit there. Oh my.

https://www.zotac.com/us/page/product-warranty-policy#:~:text=Products must be purchased as,do not carry any warranty.

  • Products must be purchased as new from an authorized ZOTAC reseller. Warranty only applies to the original purchaser of the product and cannot be transferred. Products purchased as secondhand or used, or from auction sites, do not carry any warranty.
Ah. That's US. Trying to find UK explicit info on it.

@Rofflay - I wasn't trying to call you out, I was looking for confirmation.

Any advice? There are a lot to choose from but don't know a great deal about graphics card specs. Price is not an issue.

thing is this generation looks like it generates a lot of heat. So it’s more important than ever to wait for reviews between brands. The coolers are all different.

Now don't know what to do seems EVGA not using reference AIB board FML.

Yeah very very few reference boards. Mainly the cheaper lesser warranty, Pallit, Gainward, Inno cards. The pcik of the reference boards is the Zotac one though.

Shame about EVGA going custom on every board. Since they are the only board maker who specifically allows waterblock mounting under warranty, with every baord being custom you might find the waterblock manufacturers never make a block for it.

I had that one generation with an oddball MSI card. I didnt realise they had made it a custom card and EK never did release a block that fitted it. Ended up having to sel it and buy another brand.

Def don't want a lemon card that can't be water cooled.

I reckon it will get made (or sheer false hope lol), if the ftw is going to get a block (inevitable) hopefully it's not a stretch for the xc3 to get one, might even be the same block?

Thats my hope. AFAIK EK and other waterblock makers have always made blocks for the FTW cards so hopefully nothing will change there.

And like you say, they may be the same layout as the xc3 card as well but I dont think so perhaps. EVGA have said their xc3 is based on the Nvidia reference card but they made one or two changes to it. The FTW cards are normally full custom layout cards.

The issue is if the xc3 becomes an oddball card, if there isnt enough demand then none of the waterblock makers will make one.
